You thought you had to wait over 2000 years for the second coming, but "Jesus Christ, King of Comedy" will be back August 2 for a special encore performance at Just Off Broadway Theatre. No more wailing and gnashing your teeth because you missed it at Fringe. See the show everyone's talking about (well, to us anyway). Even God came down in a vision and said, "it's mildly amusing, but I don't behave anything like that actor that played me."
Don't trust God? Here's what mere mortals have written about us on KC Stage:
"Absolute hilarity" - Rabid Reviewer
"The best I've seen all day... clutching-my-sides laughing... a wonderfully funny show" - ajennings
"I sometimes felt like they were auditioning for a Scorsese film from a helicopter pad." - Lorlactica (yeah, we couldn't figure out what that meant either, but it sounds really cool. I'd want to see that.)
Due to massive construction on 31st Street, the theatre is difficult to access. It's best approached from southbound Broadway. Just look for the little yellow direction signs in Penn Valley Park, and give yourself a little time to find it.
If you show up early you can protest the play. We'll even give you a quotable sign to protest with. Protesting is fun!
